This large-scale solar power installation was designed to provide uninterrupted energy for a busy guesthouse environment — balancing high power demands with reliability and smart automation.
The system runs on a Victron Quattro 48/15000/200 inverter/charger, known for its dual-input design and high surge capacity, ideal for handling both grid and generator integration seamlessly.

Solar input is managed by a Victron SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/200, regulating the PV array for maximum efficiency under Emalahleni’s strong solar conditions.
Power is stored in five BSL 51.2V 3U lithium batteries, offering intelligent CAN communication, over-current protection, and exceptional cycle longevity — ensuring smooth operation day and night.

Energy management and monitoring are powered by a Victron Cerbo GX with Lynx Power In and Lynx Distributor modules, supported by a Victron Energy Meter VM-3P75CT for three-phase consumption tracking.
This allows the system to monitor each section of the guesthouse independently, optimizing load distribution and grid interaction.

The array is mounted using a Renusol aluminum roof system, designed for durability and weather resistance. All circuits feature AC/DC surge arrestors, Keto disconnector, and earth bonding compliant with PV GreenCard standards.

Commissioning was completed with a Certificate of Compliance, full inspection, and test reporting across inverter, panel, and battery sections — confirming every component meets professional and safety standards.
