Victron battery compatibility now more accepting of 3rd party lithium batteries
We're excited to announce an important update to the Victron battery compatibility list, making it easier for installers to select and integrate third-party managed lithium batteries with Victron equipment.
In the past, we maintained a tested battery list to assist installers in choosing batteries with known settings, thereby reducing potential issues and ensuring trouble-free operation. This list also served to discourage the use of batteries not included, with warnings about potential issues.
After thorough review of the market and our support data over the last 12 months, we're pleased to report that many batteries not previously tested are being successfully utilized in Victron systems without encountering any issues. As a result, we have removed the discouraging language from the compatibility list.
Our goal is to empower dealers who wish to incorporate third-party batteries into their Victron systems, allowing them to offer more options to their customers without concerns about compatibility issues. We believe this update will provide greater flexibility and choice for both dealers and end-users alike.
We're confident that this change will lead to a smoother experience for all involved, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the selection and integration of batteries in Victron systems.
