VictronConnect v5.105 – Orion XS and more

VictronConnect App Updates: v5.105 New Features:

• Orion XS Firmware Release: The Orion XS now supports VE.Smart Networking, enhancing charging performance and extending battery life.
• Demo Product Library: The Orion XS has been added to the demo product library for easy exploration.
• Tracker Solar Array Naming: Users can now set up custom names for each tracker solar array connected to MPPT RS, Inverter RS, or Multi RS. These labels are visible on all monitoring platforms, including VictronConnect, VRM, and the GX device.

Bug Fixes:

• Resolved Error #2 when connecting to products remotely via the VRM Portal.
• Addressed missing settings in the Lynx Smart BMS demo product.
• Fixed issue where AC input power was not visible on Multi RS units set to L2 or L3 in a three-phase system.

For a detailed list of changes, refer to the full VictronConnect change log. VE.Smart Networking for the Orion XS: The Orion XS DC to DC battery charger now incorporates VE.Smart Networking, offering three key features:

1. Voltage Sense: Optimizes charge voltage by compensating for voltage drop over wiring to the service battery, ensuring precise charging.
2. Temperature Sense: Adjusts charge voltages based on battery temperature, enhancing performance and battery life.
3. Current Sense: Utilizes actual battery current to determine transition from Absorption to Float stage, improving charging efficiency.

For more information on VE.Smart Networking and the Orion XS, refer to the Orion XS manual and update the firmware to v1.03 via the updated VictronConnect App. Note: VE.Smart Networking is not applicable for systems with a GX device, as similar optimizations are included in the GX DVCC feature.
