VictronConnect v6.00 – Settings Lock

New Feature: Settings Lock The new settings lock empowers installers and OEMs, such as RV and boat builders, to secure critical settings and prevent accidental changes to a system's operating parameters. This feature has been meticulously designed for user-friendliness, including easy unlocking, cloud storage of passwords, and recovery options for lost passwords. More products will receive this feature in future updates, with the Orion XS dc to dc charger being the next in line. Updates Across Product Ranges: RS Product Series:
  • Added firmware v1.16 with improvements for PV arrays experiencing partial shading and various other enhancements.
  • Introduced various new settings and features.
EV Charge Station:
  • All settings available on the web interface are now accessible via the VictronConnect App.
Solar Chargers:
  • Firmware updates v1.63, v3.15, and Bluetooth firmware v2.50, featuring the settings lock and various other improvements.
BMV-712 & SmartShunt:
  • Firmware updates v4.16 & v2.50 introduce the settings lock feature.
  • Added manual control option for the BMV relay.
Phoenix Smart Chargers:
  • Various improvements implemented.
Orion Smart Chargers:
  • Added off reasons for enhanced functionality.
VE.Direct Inverters:
  • Extended the configurable range for the ECO mode search interval to 1 hour.
VE.Bus Smart Dongle:
  • Firmware v1.18 resolves an issue with the MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 120/240V model displaying a large negative current on AC-Out L2 during inverting or single-phase grid connection.
  • Added Ve.Bus error code 128 "Connection prevented by failing relay test" for Quattro-II.
Minimum Operating System Requirements: Unfortunately, progress sometimes requires us to discontinue support for older operating systems. As a result, the minimum operating system requirements have been updated:
  • Android: minimum version changed from Android 5 to Android 8.
  • iOS: minimum version changed from iOS 12 to iOS 14.
  • Windows: minimum version changed from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
  • macOS: minimum version changed from macOS Sierra (10.12) to macOS Big Sur (11).
The last supported version for the now deprecated operating systems is VictronConnect v5.106, available for download on our Software and Downloads page. VictronConnect v5.106 (only for Windows): Released alongside v6.00, VictronConnect version v5.106 prevents automatic updates from older versions to v6.00 on unsupported operating systems.
